Standard II
II. Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments
Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the Standards.
a. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity
b. Develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress
c. Customize and personalize learning activities to address students diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources
d. Provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards, and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching
Reflection
The flipped lesson plan aligns with Standard II. Designing the lesson plan gives a student the opportunity to be prepared for the coursework that will be presented the next day in class. Using technology tools such as the Podcast and the interactive movie we created for ITD 645, can be used to listen to lectures repeatedly or the movie can be viewed as many times as needed. These tools can be used by all students regardless of their learning style. They can also be downloaded and reviewed by students or parents repeatedly, if needed. The rubric also fits in the Standard II outline. The rubric can be a formative or summative assessment tool used by teachers to determine the learning outcomes being taught. When thinking about the learning environment in the digital age, you should include the Scoop.it tool. This tool can be a collection of articles or video's collected by the teacher and presented to the students, or the student can create their own Scoop.it to collect materials for class projects. All the tools listed in this reflection will create a technology rich learning environment in any classroom.
I have listed the artifacts I believe demonstrate my understanding of Standard II: my Scoop.it, podcast, Interactive Movie, and rubric.

Future Goals
By designing lesson plans that are technology enhanced, I would hope to be able to find a learning style for each student in my classroom. Having online tools that students would be excited to use, might also encourage them to explore additional tools or information, for studying, and bookmarking for later use. Subjects that excite students are the classes they invest the most preparation, and study time in. Given the opportunity to teach, I would use all the tools I have learned through my ITD classes to make sure to excite, and encourage all the students in my class to the fullest extent possible. I would teach them how to learn and explore all the technological options available to them in all subject areas.
