Reflection
When teachers plan on using technology tools in their classroom, they must know how to use the tools effectively. Standard III reflects that instructors must have not only the ability, and skills to teach with the tools, but to effectively be able to use, answer questions, setup, and even trouble shoot the tools for students, and parents. Using technology tools that are too complicated for students, and parents is not going to make learning easy or effective. Using electronic devices in the classroom should encourage communication, and curiosity on subjects being taught. The lesson plan is always an important tool the teacher can create and use for a classroom, whether it is a traditional face to face class, or an online class. Having an effective and detailed lesson plan allows students, and parents to have interactive roles in their learning process. Thinglink is an interesting tool that I had never heard of or used. It allows users to make a collection of video's, articles, images, or whatever their interest might be, in one easy to use site. Learners have access to upload, drag and drop, share, or delete parts of their collection as they use them, or no longer need them. Having an effective, interactive website can be a key component for any instructor in today's digital age. Allowing students, and parents to access the class information, as well as submit comments, or interest items to the website, will also encourage parents to take an active part in their students learning activities. Adding a calendar for classroom events to the website, can be a reminder of upcoming events the parents might want to participate in, or attend on their students behalf.
I have listed the artifacts I believe demonstrate my understanding of Standard III: my Flipped lesson plan, Thinglink and Weebly course site.

My future goal
In the future, I plan to continue to share my learning experiences with my co-workers in hopes of spreading additional information about some of the technology tools I have learned about through my coursework. Incorporating tools in any classroom to engage students at all levels of education can only add to the benefits of their education.
